What is OTG Cable

An OTG cable, OTG connector, or On The Go adapter allows you to connect a full-size USB flash drive or USB devices (USB mouse, USB keyboard, etc) for those Micro-USB or USB-C tablet PCs, smartphones. Thus, the Micro-USB or USB-C port in the tablet can not only be used for charging, but also be able to transfer data.

What is OTG Used For?

You can do the following with an OTG cable:

• Plug in standard USB mouse or keyboard to the tablet/phone;
• Access USB sticks and external hard drives to transfer/manage files;
• Connect tablet/smartphone to a USB printer.

* While, for the external HDDs might not work properly as they are usually powered by the connected devices. USB flash drives would be more reliable to use.

* Note: there are two types of OTG cable selling. We would send a Micro-USB to USB female cable or USB-C to USB female cable based on the tablet computers you have bought from Tablets World if there is no extra note from you received. The colors of the cable would be random (black or white).
